The examination of the Plan started on 22 May 2023. Progress through the examination can be tracked on the Department of Planning and Environmental Appeals website.
We published the Proposed Plan on 25 March 2022 and the public consultation closed on 17 June 2022. You can view the Proposed Plan and the comments submitted via the link below:

The Plan is supported by several other documents:
Adopted Plan
The adopted IMFLDP was adopted in 2015 and sets out the policies and land allocations to guide development in the Inner Moray Firth area over the next 20 years.
The plan must be read along with National Planning Framework 4 and the Highland-wide Local Development Plan and associated Supplementary Guidance.
The Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan (IMFLDP) Action Programme sets out the infrastructure and development required to support the implementation of the IMFLDP.
