Festive waste collections

Some householders will have a change of collection day over the festive period. If you are affected, a sticker will be placed on your bin with details of the collection days.

Caithness, Sutherland, Ross and Cromarty, Lochaber, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, and Skye and Lochalsh:

• Monday 22 December 2025 will be collected on Saturday 20 December
• Thursday 25 December 2025 will be collected on Monday 22 December
• Monday 29 December 2025 will be collected on Saturday 27 December
• Thursday 1 January 2026 will be collected on Monday 29 December
• Friday 2 January 2026 will be collected on Saturday 3 January

If your bin is not collected on these dates, leave it out, and we will collect it as soon as possible.

Collection days for Inverness:

• Monday 22 December 2025 will be collected on Saturday 20 December
• Thursday 25 December 2025 will be collected between 22 and 26 December
• Thursday 1 January 2026 will be collected between 29 December and 7 January
• Friday 2 January 2026 will be collected between 3 and 9 January

If your bin is not collected on these dates, leave it out, and we will collect it as soon as possible.

Boxing Day Collections

On Friday, 26 December, collections will operate as usual.

Household Waste Recycling Centres

They will be closed on the 25, 26 December and 1 and 2 January.
