Energy use in our buildings

Energy performance

To learn about the energy performance of buildings we manage, our energy performance reporting tool provides meaningful insights into energy consumption, costs, and the efficiency of our non-domestic properties.

It supports our Net-Zero Strategy, which aims for zero emissions from our operations by 2045. In the 2024/2025 financial year, total emissions were 27,501 tonnes of CO2, with over 60% attributed to non-domestic properties such as schools, offices, and depots. The tool also promotes transparency by sharing the data we hold.

We hope the tool helps members of the public, elected members, and staff understand the sources of our property-related carbon emissions and supports informed decisions regarding energy use and our net-zero commitments.

First-time users are encouraged to visit the Help page for guidance on navigating and understanding this reporting tool.
