Oathing stone ceremony
This is a Scottish tradition where the couple place their hands on a stone while saying their vows. It symbolises setting your promises “in stone”.
You will need:
- a stone (you can choose one from a special place)
- optional: engrave it with initials, a date, or a Celtic design
What to do:
- hold the stone together during your vows
- you can ask someone to bring the stone forward during the ceremony
