The Committee is invited to note progress made against the objectives set within the Highland Local Policing Plan 2023-2026 Year 1, attached as Annex A to this report, for the period covering 1 April 2025 – 31March 2026.

6. Short Term Let Control Area – Post Consultation Update

The Committee is invited to:-
I. consider the consultation feedback and the potential implications that a STL Control Area will have on communities within Wester Ross Strathpeffer and Lochalsh as set out in Appendix 2 of the report and summarised in Section 8, 9 and 10 of the report; and
ii. agree to recommend to Economy and Infrastructure Committee that Wester Ross Strathpeffer and Lochalsh be included within the proposed Highland Rural Short Term Let Control Area, should any decision to submit a proposal for designation to Scottish Ministers be taken.
7. Environmental Health - Annual Report & Activity 2025/2026

8. Bereavement Services – Project Updates

I. the current capacities and progress of burial ground extensions in the Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh area; and
ii. the challenges with identifying and developing suitable land for burial ground development
9. Community Regeneration Fund Assessment of Applications

There is circulated Report No WRSL/16/26 by the Assistant Chief Executive – Place.
The Committee is invited to:-
I. note the Community Regeneration Funding currently available in Wester Ross, Strathpeffer & Lochalsh;
ii. consider the applications presented and agree whether to approve, defer or reject those applications. An approval of funding should detail the amount approved and outline any conditions of funding that Members wish to attach to the approval over and above the required technical conditions. A deferral would allow the applicant to resubmit the current application at a future date with updated information or for the project to be approved subject to further funding becoming available. A rejection would mean that the application will not proceed and any future application to the fund should be brought forward initially as a new expression of interest; and
iii. agree the approved CRF grant awards, subject to any conditions, up to the value of the available area allocation

-Shieldaig Community Association SCIO - Annual Power sweep to maintain MUGA for the school, nursery, and community use - £840.00
