How to use the map
Zoom and pan
To zoom in and out:
- use the + and – buttons
- scroll with your mouse wheel
- hold the Shift key and drag a box over the area you want to zoom into
To move around the map:
- click and drag with your mouse
- use the arrow keys on your keyboard
Home button
Click the Home icon to return to the full Highland area view.
Search
Use the search box to find locations. You can enter:
- partial addresses
- postcodes
- place names
Press Enter to zoom to the location.
Layers
Click the Layers icon to see available map layers. You can turn layers on or off using the tick boxes.
View attributes
Click on a feature to see its details. If there are multiple features at the same location, use the arrows in the pop-up box to browse through them.
Pop-out map
The full-screen map offers more features, including:
- attribute tables
- distance measurement tools
- grid reference display
