Street naming and numbering, and property addresses
We manage:
- naming new streets
- numbering properties
- registering new or existing addresses
- renaming or renumbering properties when needed
We assign all parts of an address except the postcode.
Royal Mail assigns postcodes. We work with them when a new postcode is needed.
You can check an address on the Royal Mail postcode finder. Royal Mail will only update its database after we tell them about a new or changed address.
Service fees
There is a charge for this service. Fees are reviewed every year and may change from 1 April.
