Description
The Highland Council will collects your personal data in order to process your application for school transport. The information will include:
- Your personal information (such as your name and address)
- Your child's personal information (such as their name, address, date of birth and their photo that is provided with their application)
- Special category information (Education Health and Care Plan status and detail of any Additional Support for Learning (ASL) Needs )
- Details about your household income, where parents apply for low income assessment
How will we use the information
We use your personal information to assess your child's eligibility for school transport assistance.

We will not be able to process your school transport request.

Conditions for processing personal information
It is the councils public task and statutory requirement to provide a bus service for mainstream entitled children and children with ASL Needs.

- Transport and Fiance teams within Highland Council
- Commissioned providers of transport services
- Schools and other education providers
