Report an empty home
Anyone can report an empty property. This helps us decide where support is most needed.
Contact the Empty Homes Officer at emptyhomes@highland.gov.uk
We use a scoring system to assess the impact of each empty home.
Factors considered include:
- environmental issues such as boarded-up windows, rubbish or overgrown gardens
- social issues such as crime, vandalism or anti-social behaviour
- health and safety risks such as serious disrepair or pest problems
- how long the home has been empty
Homes with the highest scores are more likely to be investigated.
