What we can help with
If your privately owned home needs repairs or improvements, we may be able to help.
- we can give advice on property maintenance
- we can help you find a contractor
- we may offer financial help if your home is in serious disrepair
We do not have to help with repair costs, but we will do what we can if your home is in poor condition.
Do not start any repair work before your grant is approved. We cannot pay for work that has already started or finished.
Help for older people and disabled residents
If you are over 65 or have a disability, you may be able to get extra help.
