What we can help with

We can help with small jobs around your home, including:

  • changing light bulbs and tap washers
  • cleaning windows (where offered)
  • painting and decorating (where offered)
  • moving furniture within your home
  • securing carpets and trailing wires
  • putting up shelves, bathroom cabinets and similar items
  • taking down or putting up curtains and curtain tracks
  • unblocking sinks and baths
  • replacing toilet seats, small areas of tiling or sealant
  • fitting grab rails and handrails
  • fitting or repairing locks
  • fitting smoke or carbon monoxide alarms
  • fitting door chains and peepholes

If your job is not listed, contact us and we will do our best to help.

Gardening help

Available in some areas. Services may include:

  • weeding and pruning
  • grass cutting
  • hedge trimming
  • laying stones or bark
  • painting fences or sheds

Check with your local service to see what is available

Aids to daily living

We can fit equipment to help you stay independent, such as grab rails.

If you have been assessed by Social Work or NHS staff, we may also be able to install other types of equipment.

Larger repairs or adaptations

We can:

  • give advice if you need to arrange your own tradesperson for larger repairs
  • refer you to Care and Repair for help with bigger repairs or adaptations
