Tracsis speed data
The collection of speed data has played a key role in guiding timely and evidence-based decisions for the rollout of the 20mph programme.
Speed surveys were carried out at over 250 locations across the Highland Council area, with results now available through our Tracsis Dashboard System.
This data allows us to compare vehicle speeds before and after the introduction of the 20mph speed limit. Post-implementation surveys help us evaluate the effectiveness of the new limits and identify areas where further improvements may be needed.
An interactive map is available, showing pre- and post-speed data at each survey location, giving a clear picture of how driver behaviour has changed across the region.
