We are committed to supporting the transition to low-carbon transport. As part of this, we encourage developers to consider electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure early in the planning process.
Our EV Infrastructure project team works with other services, including Planning, to support this goal.
Planning guidance for developers
We have developed planning guidance to help developers:
- understand EV infrastructure requirements
- prepare for EV provision at the design stage
- align with national and local climate targets
This guidance supports the delivery of accessible, future-proofed EV infrastructure across Highland.
