Rules

Access is not guaranteed and is available on a first come, first served basis. You must follow the rules below:

  • overnight parking is available from 10pm to 8am
  • no return to the same car park within 72 hours
  • all activities must be contained within the vehicle
  • use allocated bays when provided
  • dispose of wastewater at official sites only
  • daytime charges still apply - you must vacate overnight car parks before daytime rates begin
  • there is no booking system - a traffic light system on the website shows which sites may be busy
  • you do not need to use ticket machines if you have a valid membership

Public toilet and waste disposal locations are shown on the site map. We ask that you leave sites as you found them and use official disposal points.

Membership does not include access to services at private campsites. Visitors are encouraged to stay at campsites and use their facilities. Check with campsite operators for details and any charges that may apply.

Benefits may change over time based on feedback and usage data.

There are currently 12 designated overnight car parks:

  • Nairn Harbour - Nairn
  • Dunnet Head Car Park - Caithness
  • Dunnet Seadrift Car Park - Caithness
  • Noss Head Car Park - Caithness
  • Reiss Beach Car Park - Caithness
  • Riverside Car Park - Wick
  • Durness Village (Tourist Info Car Park) - Sutherland
  • Golspie Shore Street Car park - Sutherland
  • Ullapool Latheron Car Park - Wester Ross
  • Gairloch harbour Car Park - Wester Ross
  • Little Gruinard Beach Car Park - Wester Ross
