If you’ve received a suspicious message or think you’ve been scammed, it’s important to act quickly. This page explains how to report scams and where to get help.

Report a scam

If you’ve received a suspicious email, phone call, text message or seen a misleading website:

Advice Direct Scotland will pass relevant information to Trading Standards for investigation.

If you’ve been scammed

If you’ve lost money or shared your bank details:

  • Contact your bank immediately
  • Call Police Scotland on 101
