Garden waste collections and permits

What the service includes

You can pay for a brown bin and permit to recycle your garden waste.

This service is not included in your Council Tax.

How collections work

We collect your brown bin every 2 weeks from 1 September to 31 August.

There are no collections in December, January or February.

You need a permit to receive garden waste collections.

Cost

A garden waste permit costs £48.95. There are no discounts or reduced rates.

You can apply at any time during the year, but the full charge still applies.

You can buy up to 3 permits per household.

2025-2026 permits

Garden waste permits are now available for 2025 to 2026.

The new permit is valid from 1 September 2025 until 31 August 2026.

Current 2024 to 2025 permits are valid until 31 August 2025.
