Aircraft use of the airfield

Before flying to the airfield, pilots must request permission. Email your estimated date and time of arrival to info.aerodromes@highland.gov.uk.

Airfield use and fees

By landing at the airfield, pilots acknowledge that:

  • the airfield is an Unlicensed Aerodrome
  • there are no Air Traffic Control (ATC) or Flight Information Services, and no Rescue or Firefighting Services available
  • aircraft must be insured in accordance with EC Regulation 785/2004
  • operating hours are from 8am local time (or 30 minutes after sunrise, whichever is later) to 10pm (or 30 minutes before sunset, whichever is sooner)
  • aircraft must be parked without obstructing taxiways, aprons, or the helicopter landing area. Light aircraft should use designated parking areas

If you land at the airfield without prior permission (PPR), we will charge you double the landing fee for your aircraft size.

When parking your aircraft at the airfield, you must use the designated area given to you.

Annual landing, parking and PPR cards

Pilots wishing to register for annual use of the airfield must provide:

  • aircraft registration details
  • monthly flight log submissions

After landing - log sheet submission

Within 48 hours of landing, pilots must complete a landing log sheet and email it to info.aerodromes@highland.gov.uk. This information will be used to issue a request for payment of landing fees.

Pay airfield fees

Landing fees must be paid within 14 days of landing. You can pay online, or by phone on 01349 886605.

Alternatively you can pay by BACS quoting 'AIRFIELD – Landing Fees' using the following details:
