Using airfield for non-aircraft use

If you are planning to use the airfield for any non-aircraft-related activity or event, you must first read and understand the Airfield rules.

Permitted non-aviation uses

The airfield may be available for a range of reasonable non-aviation purposes, including:

  • music festivals
  • film or television productions
  • commercial advertising shoots
  • temporary large-scale storage (such as wind farm components)
  • military training or operations

Fees for non-flying events

Use of the airfield for non-aviation events is subject to agreement with other users and stakeholders. All applicants must provide:

  • evidence of valid public liability insurance
  • a clearly defined role and method of operation for any plane spotters involved

Hire charges

  • Exclusive use of the aerodrome (per day): £4,125
  • Use of part of the aerodrome (per week): £4,538
