Report a change in your circumstances

Tell us straight away if anything in your life has changed or is going to change. This makes sure you do not pay the wrong amount and have to settle the difference with us later.

Changes can affect the amount of rent or Council Tax you need to pay.

Examples of changes you must tell us about include:

  • change of address
  • people moving in or out of your home
  • your child leaving school, education or training
  • your child turning 18 years old

You may need to provide:

  • proof of identity
  • payslips, earnings statements, or self-employment income proof
  • bank statements
  • benefit award letters or notices of change
  • tenancy documents
