Free school meals and clothing grants review
Description
  • We have a legal duty under the Education (school lunches) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2013 as defined under Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 to provide a free meal to all children in the first three years of Primary school and other children whose parents are in receipt of the qualifying benefits.

We have a legal duty under Section 54 of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 to provide help to parents of pupils whose clothing may be inadequate for the purposes of school education.

  • We have a requirement by the Scottish Government to make Pandemic Support payments to children receiving a free meal as their parents are in receipt of the qualifying benefits.

We collect bank details and evidence that the bank account belongs to you so that we can pay any Clothing Grant, Holiday meal payments and pandemic supports award directly to your bank account

If you do not give us your information

If you don’t provide personal data we will be unable to pay directly into your bank account.

If you don’t provide personal data we will be unable to review your applications.
