Notification of Disposal of Domestic Bonded Asbestos.
Asbestos is classified as a Special Waste and is subject to specific disposal procedures under the Special Waste Regulations (1996). Prior notification of disposal from householders is required.
Householders are permitted to dispose of small quantities of bonded asbestos at Highland Council licenced sites. Personal information is required to administer this. No payment is required.
Your contact details (including your email, if supplied), home address details (origin of the waste) and details of the asbestos are shared with Waste Management Operations Teams at the Household Waste Recycling Centre or Waste Transfer Station where the material will be deposited.
