Issue of Performance Licences - Privacy notices

Purpose
The safeguarding of young performers, as per relevant legislation
Description

The Highland Council is required by law to operate a licensing system which provides for the protection and wellbeing of young performers and participants in activities. The licensing system applies to all children and young people under school leaving age.

The application form is completed by the person or organisation providing the activity.  It provides the name of the child, details of the school the child attends, and contact details for the parents or other chaperones. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required, along with a photograph.

The Licence is issued to the person or organisation providing the activity, and a copy is sent to the parents of the child to whom the licence applies.  A further copy is retained by the Council for a specified period.

If you do not give us your information

If you don't provide the required information we will be unable to issue a licence and your child will not be able to take part in the relevant activity or production.
