Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy and Delivery Plan - Privacy notices

Purpose
Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and Delivery Plan.
Description

The Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies (Scotland) Order 2022 places a duty on the Highland local authority, and all local authorities across Scotland, to prepare an LHEES on or before 31 December 2023; and publish an updated LHEES and Delivery Plan at intervals of no more than 5 years after the date of publication of the previous Strategy.

A public consultation has been launched to seek views from the public, businesses and stakeholders on the first draft LHEES and Delivery Plan.

The Strategy underpins an area-based approach to heat and energy efficiency planning and delivery and sets out the long-term plan for decarbonising heat in buildings and improving their energy efficiency across an entire local authority area; the delivery plan sets out how a local authority proposes to support implementation of the Strategy.
