Description

We are carrying out a consultation on whether to introduce knowledge tests as part of the licensing process for private hire car drivers  within The Highland Council area.

All representations made to this consultation will be used to inform decisions on whether to introduce knowledge tests for private hire car drivers within The Highland Council area and will be published on The Highland Council website in anonymised form. The personal data of respondents will not be published on the Council’s website.  However we may use the personal data to contact the respondent with regard to their comments.

If you do not provide contact information , we will not be able to follow up with you in respect of your consultation response.

Conditions for processing personal information

The Council is not required to consult on this matter, but The Highland Licensing Committee decided to seek opinions from members of the public and the trade to better inform them on making a decision on this matter at a future Highland Licensing Committee meeting. This is therefore covered under Article 6(1)(e) (Public Task)

We will hold your consultation response for as long as it is required in relation to the outcome of this consultation.  After consultation responses have been, your personal details will be held for 2 years. Your anonymised consultation response will be held indefinitely thereafter.
