Progress and next steps
Partnership framework
On 5 December 2018, the Scottish Government and Scottish Local Government agreed a Partnership Working Framework. This set out:
- core principles for joint working
- the creation of two leadership groups – one strategic and one operational
This work aligns with the Scottish Government’s No One Left Behind review of employability services.
What happens next
Although the Scottish Government has not set out a specific model for local delivery, we expect that:
- a new Highland employability delivery model will be developed
- this will require a dedicated inter-agency project
- both strategic and local responses will be needed to design and resource the model
