Results
The results below are for the 2026 Ward 4 - East Sutherland and Edderton By-Election.
Voting was by the single transferable voting system and an electronic count was held on Friday 26 June 2026 for the ward.
The Candidates were as follows:
- AYREY, Jay – Reform UK
- DE VENNY, Eric – Scottish Liberal Democrats
- MACHIN, Rebecca – Scottish National Party (SNP)
- MURRAY, John – Independent
- SHORT, Eva – Scottish Conservative and Unionist
After application of the Election Rules, John Murray is elected as Councillor for the above ward. The turnout was 39.7%, there were 2,597 valid ballot papers and 18 rejected ballot papers.
