The Kinship Team offers dedicated support to children and young people who are unable to live with their parents. Our focus is on identifying relatives or close family members who can provide a safe and nurturing home, helping to keep children connected to their family networks.
By maintaining these vital relationships and preserving a child’s sense of identity, we aim to improve long-term outcomes and emotional wellbeing.
Our support includes:
- Family finding - locating suitable relatives or close connections
- Kinship carer assessment - ensuring carers are prepared and supported
- Ongoing support for kinship carers - providing guidance, resources, and assistance throughout the caregiving journey
