2017
A By-election was held to elect a new member to represent Ward 5 of the Cairngorms National Park Authority area. This vacancy had arisen due to the resignation of Katrina Farquhar.
Five candidates contested the by-election and at the count at the Albert Hall in Ballater on Thursday, 30 March, Geva Blackett was declared the winner by the Council’s Depute Returning Officer, Allan Bell, with a majority of 57 over Lisa McMahon. The other candidates in the by-election were Stephen John Murphy, Anne Jane Reid and Stuart Alexander Robertson.
2015
5 community representatives were elected:
- Ward 1: David John Fallows, Top Flat, McKenzie’s Butchers, Main Street, Newtonmore
- Ward 2: Willie McKenna, 3 Dellmhor, Rothiemurchus, Aviemore
- Ward 3: Rebecca Jane Badger, Birch Bank, Carr Road, Carrbridge
- Ward 4: Eleanor Christina Mackintosh, Tombreckachie Farm, Glenlivet, Ballindalloch
- Ward 5: Katrina Anne Farquhar, Kirkstile, Logie Coldstone, Aboyne.
2011
5 community representatives were elected:
- Ward 1: David John Fallows, Garden Lodge, 1 School Gardens, Dulnain Bridge
- Ward 2: William Mckenna, 3 Dellmhor, Aviemore
- Ward 3: Mary McCafferty, Cruitiain, Skye of Curr, Dulnain Bridge
- Ward 4: Eleanor Mackintosh, Tombreckachie Farm, Glenlivet, Ballindalloch
- Ward 5: Katrina Farquhar, Kirkstile, Logie Coldstone, Aboyne

In 2007, five community representatives were elected:
