West Link and Inshes
The West Link project is designed to support the growth of Inverness by:
- reducing traffic congestion in the city centre
- improving journey times to and from the west of the city
- enabling new housing and economic development
- expanding the active travel network for walking and cycling
The project also includes improvements at Inshes and the construction of a second swing bridge to reduce delays caused by canal traffic.
The project is funded by £64.3 million from Highland Council.
