Items we can collect
We will collect:
- Bathroom suites (a toilet pan, cistern, basin, pedestal, bath, shower cubicle, and shower tray are each considered as one item; for example, a shower cubicle, shower tray and bath are three items)
- Beds (a bed consists of the base with headboard and mattress, so counts as two items)
- Bicycles
- Carpets (must be covered to protect them from rainwater and snow)
- Car tyres (a tyre and rim counts as one item)
- Computers
- Cookers (Agas, Rayburns and cast-iron cookers are not accepted)
- Cupboards
- Dishwashers
- Doors (doors with glass panels cannot be accepted)
- Freezers and fridges (doors should be taped up or stored with the door up against a wall, interior must be clean and shelves and trays removed)
- Furniture that does not fit into a wheelie bin
- Gas heaters (the gas bottle must be removed)
- Gates (up to 2.4 metres long)
- Kitchen units, worktops and sinks (kitchen units should remain assembled; each unit counts as one item; worktops up to 2.4 metres long)
- Lawnmowers and garden tools
- Living room furniture (such as sofas and armchairs, must be covered to protect from rain and snow)
- Mattresses (must be covered to protect from rain, water and snow)
- Microwaves
- Rolls of floor covering (must be covered to protect from rain, water and snow)
- Rotary driers (concrete base and rope must be removed)
- Soft furnishings (must be covered to protect from rain, water and snow)
- Storage heaters (bricks must be removed)
- Tables
- Television
- Tumble dryers
- Vacuum cleaners
- Washing machines
- Window frames (frames only; glass will not be accepted)
