Once you have chosen the type of ceremony you want, the next step is to book the date and venue.
Civil ceremony
- you can get married in a registration office or another agreed venue
- use our online booking enquiry form to enquire
- on request, pay our booking fee to secure your booking
- remember to complete the legal paperwork
Book a registrar for your ceremony
Religious or belief ceremony
For a religious or belief ceremony, you must still complete legal paperwork with the registrar
Things to consider
You should consider:
- popular dates (especially weekends and holidays) can book up quickly - plan ahead
- public holidays incur an additional charge
- you must have two witnesses aged 16 or over at your ceremony
- some venues may have rules about music, photography or accessibility - check in advance
- we are not available on 25th, 26th December or 1st, 2nd January
