You can choose the type of ceremony that suits you best.

Civil ceremony

  • a non-religious ceremony carried out by a registrar
  • can be held in a registration office or another agreed venue
  • you can personalise it with music, vows and readings

  • conducted by a minister, priest or celebrant
  • can take place anywhere
  • you must still complete legal paperwork with the registrar
