Before the site visit
Notification
The Planning and Development Service will:
- write to the applicant, consultees, supporters and objectors
- confirm the date, time and meeting point for the site visit
- include details of the meeting where the application will be determined (if known)
Site preparation
If a site visit requires anything specific (for example, pegging out the footprint of a proposed building), this will be communicated to the applicant in advance.
Travel arrangements
- a bus may be arranged for committee or council members
- Democratic Services will inform members of travel details
- spare seats may be offered to representatives of other parties
- if there are not enough seats, only members will travel by bus and others may follow using their own transport
Important
No discussion of the application will take place on the bus. All discussion will happen on site.
