During the site visit
Arrival and introductions
- members must arrive on time and avoid discussion with parties on site (except introductions)
- any delay due to late arrivals is at the Chair’s discretion
- the Clerk will record which members are present (only these members can take part in the decision)
- the Chair will introduce themselves and ask members, officers and parties to do the same
Purpose of the visit
The Chair will explain that the visit is to:
- view the location of the proposed development
- see physical features mentioned in the application or representations
The site visit is not a forum for discussing the merits of the application.
Presentation
- the Planning Officer will introduce the application and answer questions from members
- the Chair will invite the applicant and other parties to point out any physical features not already covered
