How tenants help shape housing services
We want tenants to have a real say in how housing services are run.
Tenant participation in Highland started in the 1990s. The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 gave tenants legal rights to get involved and work with their landlord.
We believe tenant involvement should be:
- meaningful
- active
- positive
How tenants help shape services
Listening to tenants helps us design and deliver better services. We know that good participation depends on:
- open and honest communication
- ongoing conversations
- real chances to influence decisions
Tenants have helped shape, improve, and monitor housing services for many years. We value this partnership and are committed to improving services through genuine engagement.
