Plastic, metal and containers recycling
Please use your green bin for recycling plastic containers, metals and cartons.
What we accept:
- clean plastic bottles
- clean plastic pots, tubs and trays
- clean cans and tins (including lids)
- empty aerosols
- clean food and drink cartons
- clean aluminium food trays
Please ensure all items are clean and dry
What we cannot accept:
- dirty and bagged recycling
- containers with food or residues of food waste (everything must be clean for recycling)
- plastic bags
- plastic film
- polystyrene
- bubble wrap
Plastic bags and film cannot be recycled in your household bins however can be recycled in many locations across Scotland, find out where on the Recycle Now website.
