Delegated versus Committee decisions
The Highland Council has a published Scheme of Delegation. The Scheme provides the framework and guidance and the powers given to Committees, Sub-Committees and to Officers.
The charts below show the number of planning applications determined either under delegated powers or by the relevant planning committee.
The column ‘External’ is where the application is determined by another body (for example, Cairngorms National Park Authority).
The chart quarters are based on calendar year.
