Flexible schooling
Occasionally, parents or guardians may request a flexible schooling arrangement, such as attending school on specific days or for particular subjects.
Each request should be considered on its own merits, taking into account that pupils must be educated in accordance with their parents’ wishes, as far as this is compatible with providing suitable instruction and training and avoiding unreasonable public expenditure.
We advise parents or guardians to initially discuss a flexible schooling arrangement with the school before formally making a request. Ultimately, however, the decision rests with the Highland Council and the school to determine whether such an arrangement can be supported.
