Renew online
A full short term let licence is normally granted for a period of 3 years from the date of issue, following which an application must be made to renew the licence.
It is a licence holder's responsibility to check the expiry date of their short term let licence and make sure they submit a renewal application in time.
If you wish to apply for the renewal of your licence, you can now do so online. Select the option “Renewal of full licence” on the 'Application Details' tab of the form.
Your renewal application will be processed the same way as your original application.
As long as you submit a renewal application before your licence expiry date, your previous short term let licence will remain in effect while the renewal application is being determined, and you can continue to operate.
If you do not apply to renew your licence before the expiry date, it will be unlawful for you to continue to operate the premises as a short term let, such as accept guests and bookings, after the expiry date.
If you decide not to renew your licence, for example, because you are no longer operating this property as a short term let or you have sold the property, please let us know as soon as possible.
