We rent out garages and garage sites across the Highland Council area.
- Garages are usually made of brick or blockwork
- Garage sites are plots of land where you can build your own garage, subject to an agreed design
Who can apply
You do not have to be a Highland Council tenant to apply, but if you are not a tenant we will apply 20% VAT to the garage rent.
Garages and sites are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
You may not be eligible if you:
- owe rent or council tax to the Highland Council
- have been evicted from a previous tenancy
We check for:
- current or former rent arrears, including garage rent
- court expenses
- repair charges
- Council Tax debt
