Ending your tenancy
If you want to end your tenancy of a garage or garage site, you must give 28 days' notice in writing. If you give less notice, you will be charged for an extra full month.
To end your tenancy you must:
- download the End your garage tenancy form
- return the completed form to your local housing office
- empty the garage and leave it in good condition
- return the keys to a Service Point
You may be charged for any damage or unreported repairs.
If you owe rent when you leave, we will send you an invoice. If you do not pay, we may pass the debt to Sheriff Officers and this could affect your credit rating and future applications.
