Submit a planning application online
eDevelopment.scot is a free online service provided by the Scottish Government. It allows you to prepare and submit applications for:
- planning permission
- building warrants
- appeals
- and more, directly to your authority
Getting started
To use the ePlanning services, you must first create an account on eDevelopment.scot.
Once registered, you can use the platform with a login.

What you can apply for
You can submit the following applications through the portal:
- planning permission
- householder application
- listed building consent
- conservation area consent
- advertisement consent
- tree works
- prior notification and approval
- certificate of lawfulness – existing use
- certificate of lawfulness – proposed use
- notice of review
- appeals against refusals and other decisions
- appeals notice
