Conditions of let
1.1 - Bookings must be made using a completed booking form, which should be received by the Facilities Booking Team at least 10 working days before the intended hire. No bookings for the use of school premises or facilities will be accepted over Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Christmas, or New Year.
1.2 - Applications will be refused if:
- the applicant is under 18 years of age
- outstanding payments are due for any previous bookings
- the applicant does not meet the conditions of use
- child protection measures have not been implemented (refer to Section 5 - applicant responsibilities)
- there have been proven breaches of previous letting arrangements
- the purpose of the hire is illegal
- the activity is not promoted by the Council (if unsure, contact The Lets Booking Team)
1.3 - Submitting a booking form does not guarantee acceptance. The applicant will be notified by email (standard) whether the booking can be accommodated.
1.4 - Approved licences are non-transferable and valid only for the named applicant, group, or organisation, for the specified dates, times, and purposes listed on the booking form. Sub-letting is not permitted.
1.5 - Set-up and tidy-up must be completed within the booked times. Only the areas specified on the booking form may be used. The area must be returned to its original condition at the end of the hire, including waste removal and the reinstatement of furniture or equipment. Exceeding booked times or using unbooked areas may incur additional charges.
1.6 - Any damage to premises, furniture, or equipment identified before or during the hire must be reported immediately to Facilities Management staff or the Facilities Booking Team.
1.7 - The applicant is responsible for maintaining good conduct and order during the hire. Noise should be kept within reasonable limits, and users must follow instructions given by Highland Council staff.
